As a Senior Engineer at Tejas Networks, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies, including 5G, DWDM/OTN, switching, and routing. Our solutions power over 500 networks across 75+ countries worldwide, and we are constantly pushing boundaries to achieve more.

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Interacting with Tejas Level-1 Support and field engineers for providing assistance on reported issues.
  • Debugging and analyzing issues, and collaborating with the Product Verification (PV) and Research and Development (R&D) teams to resolve complex network problems.
  • Tracking field bugs and enhancements with Product Line Managers.
  • Providing mentoring and knowledge transfer to other members of the TAC team.
  • Documenting troubleshooting steps and providing regular training to field teams.
  • Ensuring that response and resolution timelines are met for field issues, as per committed SLAs to customers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience with MPLS/MPLS-TP network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of MPLS/MPLS-TP protocols, including LDP, RSVP-TE, and LSP management.
  • Experience in handling and troubleshooting issues found in IP and packet transport networks (PTN).
  • Strong communication and customer handling skills.
  • Working knowledge of Layer 2/2.5/Layer 3 standards protocols and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 3-6 years of experience in telecommunications or networking.
  • B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE/EEE/IS) or any other equivalent degree.
  • Good coding skills in Python.
