Enterprise Database Specialist

A key contributor to our team, the IMS Database Administrator plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing IMS databases to support enterprise applications effectively.
This role ensures the availability, integrity, and security of critical data used by enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
- Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement IMS databases that meet business requirements.
- Database Maintenance and Performance Tuning: Maintain and tune database performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Data Availability and Integrity: Ensure data availability and integrity through robust backup and recovery procedures.
- Database Security: Manage database security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
Qualifications:
- Education: A relevant educational background in Computer Science or related field is required.
Required Skills:
- IMS Database Management: Proficiency in IMS database management principles and practices.
- Performance Tuning and Maintenance: Experience with performance tuning and maintenance of IMS databases.
- Data Security Practices: Strong understanding of data security practices to prevent unauthorized access.
Preferred Skills:
- Mainframe Environment: Familiarity with mainframe environments and their operations.
- Enterprise Application Data Requirements: Knowledge of enterprise application data requirements to design effective databases.
