About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Maersk.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in the deployment, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and Linux & DevOps practices within our organization.

This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about cloud technologies and automation and want to enhance or utilize their skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Linux System Administration:

Build, configure, and maintain Linux servers in Azure. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular updates and patches. Manage user accounts, permissions, file systems, etc.

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):

Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including code integration, testing, and deployment processes. Help automate the deployment of resources in Azure.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Create, manage, and scale infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Bicep. Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

Automation and Scripting:

Develop and maintain scripts using tools like Ansible or any scripting language like Bash or PowerShell for system configuration and automation. Continuously improve automation processes to enhance system reliability and reduce manual tasks.

Performance Optimization:

Identify areas for improvement in the cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows and propose enhancements. Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.

Monitoring and Alerting:

Configure monitoring tools to track the health and performance of systems and applications. Set up alerts and notifications to proactively address potential issues and maintain system availability.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices. Share knowledge with team members and assist in training to promote continuous learning.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with Architecture and Operations teams to bridge the gap. Communicate effectively to share best practices, recommendations, and updates.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Assist in provisioning and maintaining cloud resources on the Azure platform. Monitor and manage virtual machines, storage, and networking components to ensure optimal performance and availability. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices.

Key Requirements:

10+ years of experience in Linux and Azure Cloud infrastructure Operations with DevOps experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology, or any related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS or GCP.

Experience with Linux Operating System such as RHEL or SUSE, CentOS.

Experience in DevOps principles, practices, and tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.

Experienced in Configuration Management tools like Ansible or Salt.

Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker & Kubernetes.

Scripting and automation skills using languages like Python or Bash or PowerShell is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
