Senior Software Development Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of an Agile development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated systems and software based on customer business goals.

You will work closely with product management, other engineering teams, customer success, and support to develop cutting-edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of our offerings.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy software systems and solutions using object-oriented programming languages such as Python.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and prioritize project requirements.
  • Guide and participate in design, development, unit testing, and deployment of products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer issues through thorough analysis and effective communication.
  • Mentor other engineers, including design collaboration and code reviews.
  • Research, validate, and recommend technology decisions for new features.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of enterprise software development experience using object-oriented languages.
  • 3+ years of experience in architecting and implementing APIs and integration technologies in distributed environments.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining microservices-based architecture in cloud ecosystems.
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational database systems, knowledge of Application Integration and/or Data Integration (ETL) domain.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing and data lake solutions.
  • Experience with queuing SaaS systems like AWS SQS and Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design concepts and familiarity with established design patterns.
  • Strong technical communication skills to interface with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience using Linux/Unix environments.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with DynamoDB and GraphQL.
  • Proficiency in GoLang or Java.
