Program Assistant for Public Health Initiative

This is an exciting opportunity to empower students with vision impairments through digital literacy and assistive technology training.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Program Assistant to help us assemble, run, and coordinate this pilot program. This role is ideal for someone who is able to structure and coordinate in fast-moving projects, is adept at setting up systems and processes, and is passionate about inclusion and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of the Vision AT Project.
  • Support and conduct assistive technology training sessions for students with vision impairments.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting.
  • Liaise with universities, students, NGOs, and project partners.
  • Assist with office administration and email management under guidance.
  • Assist in project setup, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Adapt and problem-solve in a fast-moving environment.
  • May need to provide flexible support beyond the Vision AT program.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with persons with disabilities - especially vision impairments.
  • Strong understanding of or hands-on experience with assistive technology and digital accessibility.
  • Experience in skills training, facilitation, or community programs.
  • Highly organized, flexible, and able to work in a start-up style environment.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
  • Ability to work 9 am - 5 pm, 6 days a week, with flexibility for occasional extended hours.
  • Willingness to work from office (Delhi NCR) with some scope for remote work.
