Taxation Expert

As a Taxation Expert - Global Implementation Specialist at Genpact, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of experts in the field of taxation. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of tax platforms globally, following the CORE transition approach as an Individual Contributor (IC).

Your responsibilities will include participating in deployment phases, reviewing solution documentation, and collaborating with tax platform Implementation Partners to gather, document, and challenge specific local tax requirements following a zero-gap approach. You will also perform functional testing and support user acceptance testing of the solution and associated procedures to confirm that primary business requirements are met.

In addition, you will log issues and risks that surface during configuration, training, or other team activities and follow-through on the resolution of those issues. Continuous improvement and keeping up-to-date of documentation (SOPs, process descriptions, sol ID materials, etc.) will also be part of your role.

You will also support onboarding new team members in the functional area. Experience with transactional taxes is preferred, but not required.

To be successful in this role, you should have a graduate or university master's degree and relevant years of experience in APAC taxation. You should also have experience being a user with any of the ERP such as Vertex, Clear tax, Acumatica, or Avalara. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, challenging approach, influencing skills, and stress-resistant abilities are also essential.
