We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Designer to shape the future of propulsion systems by bringing together innovative thinking and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of custom high-performance electric motors and actuators, focusing on electromagnetic design.
- Create CAD and 2D drawings for stators, rotors, and assemblies, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Design winding architecture, magnetic architecture, flux carrier stamping, and lamination joining, considering DFM, cost reductions, and durability.
- Develop insulation systems, interconnections, thermal systems, sensing, and supplier qualification processes.
- Validate performance, derive a durability testing profile, and optimize motor design for maximum efficiency.
- Analyze thermal performance for magnetic designs using GD&T, 3D & 2D Drawings, DFMEA, PFMEA, structural & thermal FEA.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in motor design or electrical machines, with a strong understanding of electro-magnetics and 3-phase power systems.
- Experience in building prototypes and familiarity with SolidWorks is highly desirable.
