Senior Azure Cloud Architect

We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Senior Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our Azure cloud environment.

This role is critical to ensure our infrastructure is secure, scalable, automated, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

  • The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience across Microsoft Azure services, including IaaS, identity, governance, and automation.
  • You will be responsible for architecting complete Azure environments, managing end-to-end migrations, implementing disaster recovery using Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and driving infrastructure automation using Terraform and PowerShell.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams-security, network, applications, and operations-to deliver enterprise-ready cloud solutions. Strong documentation skills, stakeholder communication, and the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Engineering:

  • Architect and deploy secure, scalable Azure environments in alignment with enterprise architecture standards and Microsoft's Well-Architected Framework.
  • Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure using Azure Migrate and other tools.
  • Design and implement Disaster Recovery strategies using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure Backup to ensure business continuity.

Project Leadership & Delivery:

  • Serve as the Technical lead on complex enterprise projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders on planning, timelines, and delivery expectations.

Required Skills & Experience:

Must-Have Skills:

  • 8+ years of enterprise IT experience, with a focus on Microsoft infrastructure and cloud platforms.
  • Proven hands-on experience with creating and securing storage containers, configuring SQL Server 2019 backups to Azure storage containers, ensuring optimal logging for Azure services, creating a VPC, adding domains, VMs, users, and permissions, configuring and securing NSGs, setting up an Azure firewall, and AVD.
  • Azure services (IaaS, networking, identity, storage)
  • Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Backup
  • Terraform, ARM templates and PowerShell scripting
  • Governance tools (Azure Policy, RBAC, Conditional Access, Blueprints)
  • Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust implementations
  • Microsoft 365 architecture-level exposure, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, OneDrive, and Teams
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL practices, service delivery, and management in an enterprise context.
  • Experience in client and stakeholder-facing roles, including solution presentations, architecture walkthroughs, and technical negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
