Senior Data Analyst

This senior data analyst role will play a key part in crafting and implementing complex data models and solutions to cater to business intelligence needs.

  • Create advanced data models and naming standards across all deliverables
  • Reverse and forward engineer legacy business data models
  • Communicate technical data integration requirements, designs, and decisions to IT and Business stakeholders verbally and through documentation
  • Minimize data redundancy, support consolidation, transformation, and training of Business and IT members
  • Design and develop comprehensive data lineage with or without pre-existing documentation
  • Establish and maintain current and target state data integration models and flows
  • Reverse and forward engineer Business data models to the level needed for business analytics usage
  • Develop an understanding of Business processes and corresponding system architecture to: Identify source systems, understand data relationships, Determine impacted integrations
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence teams to define reporting goals and/or dashboard requirements
  • Design and develop data models and solutions to meet reporting and analytics needs
  • E nsure design documentation includes Business rules, Data security, Data quality, Lineage, Harmonization

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; DAMA Data certifications a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture
  • Experience in the Banking Domain is a must

Proficient in:

  • Data Lineage / Modeling tools (ER Studio)
  • Informatica toolsets including Data Archive, EDC, Oracle database
  • Expert understanding of Data Warehouse design for high volume processing and performance
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, including Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI
