Job Title: Freelance Data Scientist - Healthcare Claims
">Freelance Data Scientist – Healthcare ClaimsWe are seeking a highly skilled freelancer with expertise in data science, specifically in the healthcare claims space.
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Python, with experience working with large-scale datasets.
Responsibilities include:
- Extracting, cleaning, and analyzing healthcare claims and provider data
- Developing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL scripts for data extraction and transformation
- Applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights
- Building dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure data accuracy
- Identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities in healthcare data to support operational and strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- Proven hands-on experience working with healthcare claims and provider data
- Advanced SQL expertise, including data manipulation and aggregation
- Strong Python skills, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
- Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards, including HIPAA and ICD-10
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work in fast-paced environments
