Android Application Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Android Developer Lead to spearhead our mobile development endeavors.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Android development, with expertise in Kotlin and Java. Proficiency in MVVM/MVC architectural patterns, as well as experience with libraries like Dagger, Retrofit, and RxJava, is also highly desirable.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Achieve scalability and maintainability through modular code structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement features.
  • Integrate native libraries and hardware components.
  • Orient performance optimization using logcat, adb, and memory profilers.
  • Work with REST/SOAP APIs and manage data via JSON/XML.
  • Develop background services and manage app lifecycle for real-time applications.
  • Drive CI/CD, unit testing, instrumentation, and automated deployment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • 7+ years of experience in Android development.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and mobile architectural patterns.
  • Proven experience with libraries and frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of multithreading, memory management, and lifecycle-aware components.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and background services.
  • Proficiency with Git or SVN for version control.
  • Experience building and publishing production-grade Android apps.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience in voice application development.
  • Understanding of cryptographic modules and secure communication protocols.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Firebase.
