Job Title: Senior Database AdministratorWe are seeking a seasoned SQL Server expert to modernize legacy systems and design future-proof databases. This role involves leading projects that combine database administration, design, and performance optimization while working closely with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other RDBMS

  • Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management

  • Develop and implement robust database security controls, including encryption, access controls, and auditing

  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support software releases and schema changes

  • Automate routine database operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools

  • Evaluate new database technologies and make recommendations for adoption

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, design, and performance tuning

  • Expertise in SQL Server, with working knowledge of other RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)

  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools

  • Solid understanding of database security, compliance, and role-based access control

A strong candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and in a team setting, and possess experience with cloud-based database platforms and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
