Machine Operator and Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in nutraceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machinery as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient production.
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines to maintain accuracy and quality standards.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks to prevent downtime and optimize operations.
  • Maintain product quality standards during machine operations in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Record machine operating data, production outputs, and downtime logs accurately.
  • Ensure material feeding, changeovers, and line clearance are carried out as per requirements.
  • Report and escalate equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or abnormalities promptly.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment following Good Hygienic Practices (GHP) and safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality control, and hygienic practices.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GHP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to conduct and document in-process checks accurately.
  • Attention to detail, ownership, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, Quality Assurance (QA), and maintenance teams.
