A Senior Position in Software Release Management

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our software release management efforts. With a strong track record of delivering successful releases, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating the timely delivery of software products.Mandate Skills and Qualifications:
  • Release & Delivery Management: Proven experience in managing software releases, including risk anticipation and problem-solving.
  • Risk Anticipation & Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact release scope, quality, and schedules.
  • Pre-release Management: Ability to plan and coordinate pre-release activities, ensuring smooth transition to production.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and ensure their needs are met.
  • Cross-functional Coordination with DevOps & QA: Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage Risks and Resolve Challenges: Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact release scope, quality, and schedules.
  2. Plan Release Windows and Cycles: Develop and execute plans for release windows and cycles across portfolios and components.
  3. Measure and Monitor Progress: Track progress to achieve timely software releases within defined budgetary limits and quality standards.
  4. Coordinate Processes between Teams: Ensure seamless collaboration between different teams, possibly located in various locations.
  5. Manage, Plan, and Negotiate Release Activities: Coordinate and negotiate release activities to ensure timely delivery of software products.
  6. Produce Deployment, Implementation, and Run Books Plans: Develop comprehensive plans for deployment, implementation, and run books.
  7. Conduct Release Readiness and Milestone Reviews: Perform regular reviews to ensure readiness for software releases and milestone achievements.
