Motor Vehicle Component Designer

About this Role
- As a Motor Vehicle Component Designer, you will be an integral part of our product development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine and calculate loads on parts
- Develop 3D computer-aided design (CAD) models and detailed 2D drawings for motor vehicle structural components
- Apply principles of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Serviceability (DFS) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Select appropriate materials based on factors such as strength, weight, cost, and durability
- Perform structural analyses and simulations to validate design performance under various conditions
- Collaborate with teams across engineering disciplines
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, decisions, and specifications
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-6 Years
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor or Post graduate from Mechanical / Mechatronics/Production/Automobile Engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably in Creo, further training provided)
- Strong understanding of simulation tools for structural and thermal analysis
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as Assembly, Welding, Casting, Forging, and Machining
