Senior Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Product Integrity, Sustainability & Compliance Technology team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative technology solutions that drive business goals and support our company's strategic vision.

About this role:

  • Contribute to all areas of software development and operations (pre-production to production)
  • Work closely with global teams to ensure effective technical solutions
  • Perform on-call support functions as needed
  • Actively monitor key metrics and report on trends

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Taking part in Agile ceremonies
  2. Performing engineering assignments using existing procedures and best practices
  3. Conducting research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization efforts
  4. Providing an escalation point and participating in on-call support rotations
  5. Contributing to engineering automation, management or development of production level systems

Requirements:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred
  • Six to Eight+ years of software development experience
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space

Skills and qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and working experience with programming languages such as Java and Python
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with application development frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with Cloud technologies and services such as AWS Lambda and AWS S3
  • Experience working with relational and no-sql databases such as Postgres and MongoDB
  • Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes
