Financial Analyst for Equity Research

Seeking a seasoned Equity Research professional to join our team in Gurgaon, Bangalore, or Pune. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in Equity Research and a strong educational background with a Graduation degree and CFA L3 clearance or an MBA in Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models with scenario analysis
  • Carry out detailed DCF, relative, SOTP, and other relevant valuation methods
  • Establish accurate assumptions and valuation rationale
  • Analyze large datasets to identify investment opportunities and support Portfolio Managers/CIOs in their investment decisions
  • Discuss investment ideas and stock updates with Portfolio Managers/CIOs
  • Prepare earnings reviews, previews, attend conference calls, and management meetings
  • Compose pitch notes/presentations, industry, and thematic notes
  • Create and update databases
  • Gather and analyze news
  • Handle ad hoc research requests
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Excellent financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation making skills
  • Able to think through drivers and KPIs across various sectors
  • Strong client relationship management skills and communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple workflows under tight deadlines
  • Numerical aptitude
  • Building complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions
  • Carrying out earnings sensitivity analysis
  • Providing own valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based, or industry-specific valuations
  • Writing skills
  • Writing in a logical and structured manner that minimizes rework
  • Preparing bulletins and one-page summaries
  • Linking macro/industry analysis to the output
  • Creating effective presentations
  • Collecting news; summarizing and providing analysis that adds value; and preparing charts, tables, and databases
