Job Title

Data Integration Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze and document business and technical requirements for data integration use cases.
  • Map HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets to system data models and ITX transformations.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to define interface specifications and validation rules.
  • Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) and interface control documents (ICDs).
  • Support ITX developers in translating business requirements into technical design artifacts.
  • Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis and facilitate design walkthroughs.
  • Work closely with QA teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Cross-functional team collaboration to ensure integration requirements are met.
  • Participate in UAT support and go-live planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical or Integration Business Analyst.
  • Strong working knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets.
  • Experience working with IBM ITX (Transformation Extender) projects.
  • Ability to understand and document source-to-target data mappings.
  • Proficiency in analyzing flat files, XML, JSON and CSV formats.
  • Hands-on experience with data flow diagrams and business rules.
  • Experience in Medicaid, MMIS or healthcare systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience with API-based integrations and middleware technologies.
  • Understanding of integration architecture.
  • Experience working alongside ITX developers and architects.
  • Knowledge of data validation tools and compliance requirements.
