Senior Operations Manager

As a Chief Manager, you will oversee and support various Atlassian tools, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo. Your primary responsibility will be to configure and maintain these tools to meet business requirements and adhere to established standards.

• Administer and support multiple Atlassian Cloud tools, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Atlassian tools with existing systems, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• Manage permissions and access control via Atlassian Access for corresponding tools and projects, maintaining a secure environment.
• Develop, test, and maintain custom marketplace plugins, workflows, and reports as needed, driving innovation and efficiency.
• Create comprehensive training curriculums for various Atlassian users and provide training as needed, ensuring widespread adoption and proficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Atlassian tools and technologies, applying knowledge to drive process improvements and optimize tool usage.
• Promote the use of Global and Project Jira Automation across existing projects, streamlining operational processes and enhancing productivity.
• Develop best practices for administering Jira effectively over the long term, ensuring continuity and consistency.
• Document all Atlassian Cloud ecosystem management and standards for shared components, providing valuable resources for team members and stakeholders.
• Monitor audit logs of Atlassian products to identify any anomalies in tool usage, ensuring prompt action and resolution.
• Provide user management support and training to end-users, addressing their queries and concerns efficiently.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of administering Atlassian Datacenter tools in a corporate environment.
• Strong proficiency in administration and support activities of both on-premises and cloud variants of Jira, Confluence, and JSM.
• Extensive hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Atlassian DC or Cloud, ensuring efficient deployment and maintenance.
• Experience with automation and scripting to streamline workflows in Jira and JSM, driving process efficiency and reducing manual errors.
• Proficiency in configuring workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and other Jira components, ensuring seamless tool operation.
• Hands-on experience with the installation and upgrade of Atlassian applications and associated plugins, such as ScriptRunner and Xray.
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python or Groovy, enabling dynamic and efficient solution development.
• Experience in migrating and consolidating projects and spaces between Atlassian instances, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
• Strong expertise in creating Jira dashboards, queries, and reports, providing actionable insights and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to write JQL (Jira Query Language) for advanced searches and reporting, enabling precise and targeted data retrieval.
• Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness to changing project requirements.
• Agile project management experience: 2+ years of experience designing and customizing workflows, managing project permissions, and optimizing project lifecycle management within Jira and Confluence.
• Certifications and experience: At least one Atlassian Cloud/Jira certification (ACP) and an understanding of advanced Jira Query Language (JQL), workflow schemes, and project templates.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult with scrum masters, project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet requirements.
