Dairy Operations Specialist

Job Overview:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for setting up dairy processing centers, including plant design and commissioning.
  • Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for milk procurement, chilling, pasteurization, homogenization, packaging, and quality control.
  • Oversee equipment selection, installation, and process optimization in collaboration with technical teams and vendors.
  • Establish supply chain and distribution processes for efficient milk and dairy product delivery.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices in dairy plant operations.
  • Provide expertise in integrating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for procurement, processing, sales, and finance modules.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor plant efficiency, yield, and quality.
  • Advise management on new product development and diversification opportunities.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Dairy Processing, Operations, or Plant Management.
  • A proven track record of establishing or managing dairy processing plants (medium to large scale).
  • Strong knowledge of milk procurement systems, processing technologies, quality control, and dairy product lines.
