Web Application Developer Specialist

As a seasoned software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new or modifying existing web applications/APIs. Your role will also involve maintaining and troubleshooting these applications and APIs.

You will write and maintain reliable Ruby/Rails code, integrate with data storage solutions such as database, file storage, or object storage. Additionally, you will create services using microservices architecture, Dockerize the application/service, identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs, and integrate user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing new or changing existing web applications/APIs.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting web applications and APIs.
  • Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby/Rails code.
  • Integrating with data storage solutions such as database, file storage or object storage.
  • Creating services using microservices architecture.
  • Dockerize the application/service.
  • Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.

Requirements include:

  • Over 7 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails.
  • Proficiency in either Sidekiq or Shoryuken, showcasing a deep understanding of background job processing.
  • Solid knowledge in React and Typescript, demonstrating the ability to work with modern frontend technologies.
  • Familiarity with AWS, with a specific emphasis on SQS (Simple Queue Service).
  • Willingness to work in EST hours.

Qualifications include:

  • BE/B.Tech or Equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
