Embedded Hardware Design Specialist

Seeking a skilled Embedded Hardware Design Specialist to design and develop hardware components for mission-critical devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Prototype, and Test: Utilize Altium, Eagle, or KiCAD to design, prototype, and test PCBs for embedded and IoT devices.
  • Component Selection and Validation: Select, validate, and qualify electronic components for rugged and high-reliability use.
  • Root-Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions: Conduct root-cause analysis for hardware failures and implement corrective actions.
  • EMI/EMC Testing and Compliance: Support EMI/EMC testing and ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.

Integration and Validation:

  • Collaboration and End-to-End System Integration: Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers for end-to-end system integration.
  • Hardware Validation, Debugging, and Certification Compliance: Own hardware validation, debugging, and certification compliance.
  • Component Evaluation and Adoption: Continuously evaluate and adopt new components, tools, and design methodologies to enhance performance and efficiency.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Design Documentation and Testing Reports: Maintain accurate design documentation, testing reports, and compliance records.
  • Safety, Reliability, and Quality Standards: Ensure adherence to safety, reliability, and quality standards across all deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in PCB design and embedded hardware engineering.
  • Design Tools Proficiency: Proficiency with design tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCAD).
  • EMC/EMI Testing Knowledge: Strong understanding of EMC/EMC testing and certification processes.
  • Ruggedization Techniques and Power Optimization: Familiarity with ruggedization techniques for aerospace/defence and power optimization for IoT systems.
