Role Overview

As a strategic Lead Generative AI Engineer, you will partner with us on pre-sales activities, discovery sessions, and short-term proof-of-concept (PoC) projects lasting six weeks or more.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Solution Leadership: Engage directly with clients to understand their business challenges and lead innovative GenAI solution ideation and design.
  • Technical Architecture: Translate client needs into actionable solution concepts, defining architecture, data strategy, model selection, and tooling required for success.
  • Project Ownership: Lead end-to-end GenAI solution delivery, ensuring technical quality, alignment with business goals, and timely project milestone execution.
  • Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering best practices and ensuring project accountability.
  • Hands-On Contribution: Remain hands-on with tools, models, and code to prototype, build, and troubleshoot complex components.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key technical point of contact for clients, managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with our internal teams to co-develop tailored proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and implementation roadmaps.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Proven experience leading technical teams and taking ownership of AI-driven solutions.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills articulating complex technical concepts to executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and agentic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy GenAI solutions using Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based ML/AI services like AWS Sagemaker, Azure OpenAI, or Google Vertex AI.
  • Prior experience in consulting, pre-sales, or freelance capacities is strongly preferred.
