Cell Culture Specialist

Job Summary:

The Cell Culture Specialist plays a pivotal role in the upstream process development, process scale-up, and process characterization for monoclonal antibody (mAb) manufacturing. This position requires expertise in developing scalable and robust processes to meet desired product yield and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and establish scalable and robust processes for meeting desired product yield and quality.
  • Evaluate risk factors and implement mitigation strategies during process development and scale-up.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within R&D and other departments for technical discussions related to process development, technology transfer, and process improvement.
  • Participate in technology transfer activities and coordinate with program management and cross-functional teams to deliver on program timelines.
  • Provide support for regulatory dossier preparation, filing, and audits.
  • Evaluate the latest advancements in science and technology, bioprocessing, and statistical knowledge in applying Quality by Design (QbD) and Design of Experiments (DOE) concepts into upstream development.
  • Analyze data and make informed technical decisions.
  • Record and review raw data according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Prepare work presentations, write technical documents, and develop procedures.
  • Coordinate team activities to ensure smooth lab functioning.

Special Requirements:

  • Technical expertise in one of the following areas: Omics technologies, Bioprocess modeling, or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

Requirements:

  • Recent PhD graduates will be considered for the role.
