Process Excellence in Assembly Operations

The role of Senior Process Engineer is pivotal in driving process excellence in assembly operations, optimizing yields, and ensuring smooth ramp-up of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and optimization of processes for semiconductor packaging (die attach, wire bonding, molding, wafer bumping, singulation, underfill, encapsulation, etc.).
  • Monitor key process parameters, identify bottlenecks, and drive yield improvements through data analysis and process control.
  • Support NPI from customer design handover to stable mass production, ensuring seamless integration with global customers.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers to drive tool qualification, calibration, and process stability, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, failure investigation, and corrective action implementation to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards (JEDEC, ISO, IATF) and EHS compliance in cleanroom operations, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in OSAT process engineering, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / Master's in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Materials, or related Engineering field, with a strong foundation in physics and mathematics.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in semiconductor assembly/test, ATMP, or OSAT environment, with expertise in at least one core process area.
  • Proven track record in yield improvement and process stabilization, with a focus on continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Familiarity with SPC, DOE, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing methodologies, and experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
