At our organization, we are seeking a talented professional to join our CPU Performance Validation team. This team is part of our global CPU Performance teams and plays a critical role in the next-generation AMD CPU design. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of existing AMD X86 CPU architecture and microarchitecture, ranging from CPU pipeline stages to complex features and structures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for debugging performance issues of RTL, giving feedback to our design team for the latest gen CPU in pre-silicon and emulation environments. We encourage individuals with a creative bent of mind and a natural ability to dive into details. This team is perfect for those who can understand the present and envision the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Integration and Code line Integration: The code line will have a mix of components written in C++, Verilog, System Verlig, Perl, Python, Ruby etc.
  • Porting Code from previous projects and Devops related work.
  • Machine Learning: Handling large data sets and using/enhancing existing training models.
  • Scripting work and coming up with debug utilities to help CPU Verification Infrastructure, Test Plan, Debug Teams.
  • Regression Infrastructure management for CPU Verification Team.
  • Maintenance or development work related to stimulus generation tool/architecture models/checkers/verification components of CPU.
  • Interacting with Feature Verification engineers and understanding stimulus requirements and scope for enhancement based on coverage etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant course and research work.
  • Min 3+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of OOP Concepts, C++. Assembly language knowledge is a plus.
  • Well-versed in using Perl and Python.
  • Version control systems like Perforce, Git hub etc. Experience working in linux environment.
  • Writing crons and automating tasks.
  • Build/make files.
  • Good to have skills: Webservices, API/REST API, DevOps (JavaScript, Angular, MySQL, No SQL, HTML, PHP), ML (supervised and unsupervised basics).
