Job Title: Community Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Community Development Specialist. This position will be responsible for executing and managing projects, ensuring timely rollout and implementation that aligns with project plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution and Management (70%):
    • Implement projects in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with project plans.
    • Monitor and ensure quality delivery of detailed implementation plans (DIPs).
    • Collaborate with internal teams to secure necessary support for project execution.
    • Foster innovative approaches in project activities.
    • Address operational challenges promptly.
    • Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and ensure goals are met.
    • Enhance community involvement and ownership of project activities for long-term sustainability.
  • Develop Partnerships and Advocacy (30%):
    • Establish relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels.
    • Increase project and organizational visibility among government and other stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities to align stakeholder activities with project goals.
    • Represent the project and organization at meetings and advocacy forums.
    • Participate in advocacy efforts to drive impactful change.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in program implementation in the social sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual.
  • Able to meet deadlines and produce quality outputs.
  • Eye for detail.

The ideal candidate should possess fluency in English, Tamil, and Hindi languages.
