Front-End UI Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End UI Architect to lead the development and implementation of responsive front-end UI architecture for micro frontends.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with modern software engineering practices, API design, and architecture to support integration with existing software products as well as external cloud-based services.
  • They will effectively utilize AI coding assistants in day-to-day workflow, including prompt design and guard-railing.
  • Collaboration with Frontend and Backend Architects is essential to rationalize design and translate it into requirements for implementation.
  • Working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ensure that the UI meets the needs of our users and is aligned with the overall product vision.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust and scalable UI architecture using NextJS/React JS as the primary technology.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of UI developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and documentation to communicate design ideas and concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall development and delivery of one or more modules (micro frontend) in an eCommerce product.
  • Researching the existing application footprint and recommending solutions to run application workloads in a futuristic architecture landscape.
  • Developing modules within the eCommerce products, ensuring high-quality front-end components and interfaces.
  • Delivering high quality code and 80% code coverage.
  • Contributing to constructing and deploying highly scalable and robust cloud-based intelligent solutions.
  • Contribution to Ford's Product Driven Organization (PDO) model by identifying improvements and areas that help reduce dependencies and increase team autonomy for delivery.
  • Knowledge in MACH architecture to design and implement scalable and flexible front-end solutions.
