Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced digital circuit designer to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex digital circuits using VHDL/Verilog, with a focus on FPGA design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define DSP, system, and board architecture based on customer requirements/specifications/tender enquiry.
  • Project ownership from concept to delivery, including risk identification, dependency creation, mitigation planning, project schedule tracking, customer discussions, and design reviews.
  • Partition algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or SW, identifying building blocks and signal processing functions.
  • Provide estimates on FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Create module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and perform peer reviews, applying design, verification, or validation methodologies.
  • Define, create, and maintain all project-related documentation, especially design documents with detailed analysis reports.
  • Provide support to customers during integration phases at test sites and support to production teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGAs and functional simulation.
  • Hardware design expertise, including logic design and debugging.
  • FPGA design skills, including VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, System C/System Verilog, and FPGA synthesis/PAR tools.
  • Experience implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environments for radar and electronic warfare systems.
  • Modeling algorithms in Octave/MATLAB, generating test vectors, and visualizing data.
  • Working knowledge of interfacing with ADCs and DACs and interpreting their performance.
  • Fluency, good communication, and presentation skills.
  • Configuration/version control tools like SVN.
