AI Engineering Opportunities

This is an exciting role for a skilled AI Engineer who can develop innovative solutions leveraging machine learning techniques. As part of our compact, high-performance engineering team, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting-edge AI-native software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build AI-enabled products that integrate the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) and other emerging technologies in foundation models.
  • Develop high-performance Search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Data indexing, ranking, query processing systems.
  • Create evaluation frameworks for agent, RAG, and LLM performance: We adopt a polyglot approach to working with LLMs, with a preference for utilizing open-source models.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this challenging role, we seek candidates with 2-5 years of experience in Software Engineering or end-to-end Data Science, proficient in Python and data-oriented algorithms. A strong background in either distributed data systems or machine learning engineering is essential. Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Ray is a plus.

Candidates must have proven ability to experiment with new techniques and deliver robust production code. Our stack includes Python, LlamaIndex, LangChain, Ray, Postgres, Iceberg, Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes/Helm. Recent demonstrated experience in building agents, training and evaluating emerging foundation LLMs, building RAG systems, and planet-scale information retrieval systems, or working with vector databases, is highly valued.
