
Senior Indirect Tax Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for building and developing the indirect tax practice, identifying new clients and opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Responsible for building and developing the indirect tax practice by identifying new clients and opportunities.
- Identify new clients independently or with the help of seniors or other teams.
- Identifying new opportunities with existing clients based on new developments in indirect taxes or at client end.
- Maintain strong client relationships and leverage them for cross-selling.
- Putting conscious efforts towards networking within the same service line and with other service lines.
- Understand various services offered by different service lines in the organization.
- Cross-selling and generating new clients for the firm.
- Understand client requirements and seek relevant facts to identify solutions and service offerings.
- Design and plan service offerings for clients that meet their requirements, outline detailed scope of work and scope limitations, discuss commercials with the Partner.
- Effective communication of service offerings/proposal to the client and ensuring conversion of lead into an assignment.
- Ensure appropriate risk processes are completed before initiating the assignment/project as per KPMG Risk guidelines and necessary approvals are obtained.
- Plan and manage execution of the assignment with right resources; ensure quality of deliverables and meeting timelines set.
- Provide expert advice to clients on Indirect Tax law and regulations with industry insights (if possible) and practical approach.
- Attempt to provide value addition while undertaking the assignment; develop innovative solutions for clients.
- Managing Pan India compliance and advisory services.
- Representing clients before tax authorities/appellate authorities in relation to audits/assessments/litigation matters.
- Provide guidance and coach team members while executing the assignment/project.
- Coach/mentor team members on various concepts of Indirect Tax; ensure on-the-job learning.
- Ensure nominating team members for training (initiatives taken at firm level); ensure attendance of team members for regular internal and external training.
- Understanding career aspirations of team members and discuss path towards achieving the same.
- Manage team development and performance.
- Encourage innovation/best practices in team.
- Provide regular feedback to team members on their performance.
Qualified CA with strong analytical ability, excellent communication and presentation skills, client relationship management, team player, experience in consulting would be an added advantage, ability to manage dynamic teams, exposure to all areas of Indirect Taxation, experience in both compliance and advisory.
