Loan Analyst Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Loan Analyst to join our team. As a Loan Analyst, you will play a critical role in reviewing and analyzing loan files to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of loan applications to identify potential risks and deficiencies
  • Analyze credit reports and other financial data to determine creditworthiness
  • Verify property values and ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements
  • Recalculate borrower income sources as required
  • Calculate debt-to-income ratios and ensure that they meet investor guidelines
  • Enter defined loan data into Quality Control systems
  • Review closing documents and disclosures to ensure accuracy
  • Perform high-cost, APR, and Amount Financed tests in the Compliance Review system
  • Comment on loan inaccuracies, deficiencies, and missing items
  • Assign loan-level defects based on severity and type

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years' experience in mortgage underwriting, processing, and/or quality control
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA lending is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of lending compliance such as TRID
