IT Monitoring Analyst Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Monitoring Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

As an IT Monitoring Analyst, you will be working closely with our technical teams to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring servers, network devices, applications, jobs, and services using various tools.
  • Identifying, acknowledging, and logging alerts, events, and anomalies.
  • Escalating incidents to L1/L2 support teams based on defined SOPs and severity.
  • Performing basic health checks and validations as per runbooks.
  • Tracking and updating incident tickets in ITSM tools.
  • Performing initial triage of alerts, including service restarts and disk clean-up commands if permitted.
  • Documenting incidents, actions taken, and resolution/escalation steps.
  • Communicating with on-call engineers and shift leads for follow-ups or escalations.
  • Ensuring monitoring dashboards and tools are operational and reporting any issues.
  • Providing shift-wise handover updates and contributing to incident reviews.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, OS, networks, and applications.
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow SOPs.
  • Ability to work 24*7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to details and sense of urgency.
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications for the role include:

  • Exposure to ITIL process (incident, event, change, management).
  • Certification in basic IT/networking (CompTIA A+, ITIL foundation, CCNA) is a plus.

Experience in IT monitoring or helpdesk roles, with mandatory skills like monitoring tools & network operation center.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in IT monitoring or helpdesk roles, with a strong background in ITIL processes and certifications.
