Job Title: Software Deployment Lead

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and prepared for upcoming releases.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of changes and communicate them to relevant teams.
  • Coordinate cloud deployments ensuring compliance with security and operational policies.
  • Drive automation to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on release progress to stakeholders.
  • Lead issue resolution during release phases to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Maintain and manage the organization's release calendar.
  • Oversee merging of validated changes into main code branches.
  • Presentation of planned changes in CAB meetings and securing approvals as required.
  • Organization of Go/No-Go meetings to assess readiness before deployment.
  • Coordination of post-release performance monitoring and facilitation of Post-Implementation Reviews.
  • Ensuring all release-related documentation is complete and up-to-date.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex environments
  • Ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
