Job Summary

As a dynamic and engaging Host, you will play a pivotal role in bringing events to life at Chandigarh University. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the flow of events with enthusiasm, maintain audience engagement, and ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Hosting and Presenting:

• Host university events, conferences, workshops, seminars, cultural functions, sports events, and other programs with charisma and professionalism.
• Deliver live commentary and engage with the audience to create an electrifying atmosphere.
• Introduce speakers, dignitaries, and guests smoothly, ensuring a seamless transition between segments.
• Conduct interviews, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions when required.

1. Audience Engagement:

• Interact with the audience through interactive elements, ice-breakers, and informative segments.
• Maintain an energetic, friendly, and professional demeanor to keep the audience engaged.
• Ensure all event timings are adhered to and manage transitions between segments efficiently.

1. Content Preparation:

• Collaborate with the event team to understand the theme, objectives, and content of the event.
• Prepare scripts, speeches, and presentations aligned with the event's tone and message.
• Research relevant topics and information to provide accurate and engaging content.

1. Coordination with Organizers and Teams:

• Work closely with event coordinators, technical teams, and other stakeholders for smooth event execution.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance the flow of the event.

1. Brand Representation:

• Represent Chandigarh University professionally and positively during public interactions.
• Communicate the university's vision, values, and messages consistently during all events.

1. Social Media and Digital Engagement:

• Assist in promoting events through social media platforms and university channels.
• Record short video snippets, interviews, or highlights from the event for promotional use.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field. A Master's degree is desirable.
• Experience:
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a host, presenter, or anchor in a professional setting, such as television, radio, live events, or media.
• Prior experience in hosting educational or corporate events is preferred.
