Job Overview:

The Role of Legal Entity Controller is a crucial position in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, statutory accounts, reconciliations, compliance, and management reporting while ensuring robust governance and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing statutory financial statements and management accounts with variance analysis.
  • Validating US Federal Reserve entity-level reporting.
  • Overseeing monthly reconciliations of accounts and balances.
  • Coordinating with Tax, Treasury, Company Secretarial, Legal, Compliance, and Product Controllers for entity activity.
  • Managing implementation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes.
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships (internal, external auditors, regional service providers).
  • Leading and mentoring team members in Mumbai.
  • Contributing to re-engineering and standardization of processes.
  • Supporting entity set-up, ledger adaptation, and closure activities.
  • Participating in ongoing entity-specific initiatives and projects.

Requirements Include:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-8 years of relevant experience in Financial Accounting/Reporting.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with exposure to legal entity controllership.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills (data mining, summarizing, reporting).
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships across senior levels.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Experience in LEC Accounting and automation initiatives.
  • Exposure to financial products used in the financial services industry.
