Key Responsibilities:
  • System Definition: Define, decompose, and manage system-level requirements for nacelles, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
  • Design Development:
    • Oversee conceptual and detailed design of nacelle systems as the responsible engineer.
    • Manage the integration of nacelle systems with the engine and aircraft by coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
    • Ensure configuration management is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Develop and manage testing and validation plans for nacelle components and systems.
    • Interpret and analyze test data to verify system performance and compliance.
    • Conduct design trade-off studies to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Systems Integration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate nacelle systems with other aircraft components.
  • Testing Validation:
    • Develop and execute testing and validation plans to ensure system performance and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a focus on nacelle design, development, and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of nacelle systems, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
  • In-depth understanding of aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA) and certification processes.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as CATIA, ANSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Utilize CAD modeling tools (e.g., CATIA) to develop and refine designs.
