We are seeking a seasoned Financial Strategist to spearhead our direct tax initiatives in Bangalore.

Role: Direct Tax Specialist

Experience: 13+ years

Location: Bangalore

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing tax strategies that optimize our company's financial position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax plans to minimize liabilities and risks
  • Research, analyze, and apply relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Manage tax audits and coordinate responses and documentation for tax authorities
  • Advise internal teams on tax implications of business decisions and transactions
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their business impact
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency while minimizing risks
  • Provide guidance and training to finance and business teams on tax matters
  • Ensure robust documentation and compliance with reporting requirements

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and handling tax audits
  • Strong research and analytical skills to interpret complex tax legislation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in mentoring or guiding junior finance professionals
  • Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation
