Project Manager Job Description

About the Role:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful delivery of both development and support projects, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives. This role involves leading Agile initiatives, mentoring teams, and working closely with stakeholders to adopt and improve Agile practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage projects from inception through delivery, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, risk management, and communication plans.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and leadership, to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide transparent communication on project progress and any issues that arise.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate the efforts of team members, including Agile experts and freelancers, across various geographical locations.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance and Agile practices.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and conduct post-mortem reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical background with experience in software development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and managing projects in a global environment.
