Job Title: Software Test Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team at Advisor Labs. As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive testing plans to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate closely with development and QA/QC teams to ensure software meets specified requirements.
  • Utilize automated testing tools (Selenium with Java and Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript) to execute test cases and validate application functionality.
  • Develop and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Execute test cases and track test progress, ensuring all aspects of the application are thoroughly tested.
  • Identify, document, and report defects and issues in a clear and detailed manner.
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and troubleshoot issues, and verify the resolution of reported defects.
  • Work closely with developers, QA/QC teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and potential risks.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in both manual and automated testing.
  • Proven experience with Selenium using Java and Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the testing lifecycle, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document testing processes and results effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA/QC, and other stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with additional automated testing tools or frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and version control systems (e.g, Git) is beneficial.
