Job Opportunity: Personal Information Protection Act Compliance Expert

Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the implementation of our Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) compliance initiative. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the successful execution of this critical project.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing regulatory-driven projects in the financial services sector and a deep understanding of data privacy regulations. A strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope is essential.

  • Lead the implementation of the PIPA compliance framework across all business units.
  • Conduct assessments of current data privacy policies and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop data mapping and inventory to identify all personal data processed by the organization.
  • Establish governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Design and facilitate training and awareness programs for staff to promote a culture of compliance and data protection.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as law, information technology, or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing regulatory-driven projects in the financial services sector.
  • Proven expertise in data privacy regulations, including the Personal Information Protection Act.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights to inform business decisions.
