We are seeking a high-voltage design and mixed-signal systems expert to lead the development of FPGA-based instruments. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the creation of India's first commercial Scanning Electron Microscope.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing timing and synchronization backbones, building mixed-signal boards, and ensuring clean power and grounding for quiet images and strong EMC behavior.

A successful candidate will work collaboratively, be documentation-minded, and think in interfaces and failure modes.

We will know it's working when we see:

  • Deterministic, synchronized operation across subsystems.
  • Stable, low-noise performance visible in images and analytics.
  • Lossless capture during long runs and lean EMC pre-checks.

You will shape architecture and culture as part of the founding team, work hands-on, and ship a tool that moves research and industry forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design the timing and synchronization backbone so optics, detectors, motion, and software operate in lockstep.
  • Build mixed-signal boards: beam control drivers, detector front-ends, data-acquisition, and robust control I/O.
  • Ensure clean, stable power and grounding/shielding for quiet images and strong EMC behavior.
  • Provide diagnostics, fixtures, and logs so issues are obvious and field-debuggable.
Requirements
  • Experience shipping mixed-signal/FPGA systems in instruments, vision, or semiconductor/robotics gear.
  • Strong bench skills with scopes, analyzers, and bring-up; pragmatic about testability and manufacturability.
