About the Job
This role involves designing and simulating innovative physical layer wireless communication algorithms. You will implement E2E system models (float/fixed-point) and perform detailed performance investigations to enable performance sign-off and hardware and software development.
You will interpret and translate the 5G NR L1 specifications into feature descriptions/requirements to be implemented by the hardware and software teams. Collaboration with digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with power and area-efficient implementation is also required.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and simulate innovative physical layer wireless communication algorithms.
- Implement E2E system models (float/fixed-point) and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off and enable hardware and software development.
- Interpret and translate the 5G NR L1 specifications into feature descriptions/requirements to be implemented by the hardware and software teams.
- Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with power and area-efficient implementation.
- Develop models in Matlab, C/C++ of the transmit & receive processing blocks defined by the specifications.
About You
We are looking for experienced professionals with a strong background in Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communications, and wireless chip development. A deep understanding of communication system theory and signal processing is essential for this role, including knowledge of algorithms such as signal estimation and detection, channel estimation, equalization, forward-error correction, OFDM, MIMO detection, etc.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field, expertise in the 5G NR physical layer standards, and experience with floating-point algorithm development and link-level simulation modeling the 5G NR physical layer with Matlab, C/C++, and/or Python are must-haves.
A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, and strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection, and estimation, etc.) are a plus.
What We Offer
We offer an estimated salary of ₹1200000-1800000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience. As an India-based candidate, working from our Bangalore office would be a significant advantage.
