Power Systems Consultant Job Description

As a Power Systems Consultant, you will contribute to the technical development and delivery of studies and analysis within our power systems team. Your responsibilities will include delivering consulting work related to various types of power systems studies and analysis.

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Power Systems Consultant with excellent technical and project management skills to support the successful delivery of consulting work. As a consultant, you will provide technical leadership to the project team and ensure the technical quality of delivery of power systems projects, reports, and proposals.

Key Responsibilities
· Contribute to the technical development and delivery of studies and analysis within the power systems team:
Static studies such as load flow, fault level, and reactive compensation
Dynamic studies such as stability studies
Harmonic analysis/power quality/filter design
Transient overvoltage/insulation coordination
Control interaction studies
Earthing studies
Protection coordination and Arc Flash studies

· Provide technical and project management leadership to support the project team in the successful delivery of consulting work
· Management and resourcing of the power systems team
· Ensuring technical quality of delivery of power systems projects, reports, and proposals

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization and extensive experience in power systems consulting. You should also have a wide network of industry contacts and clients, and be proactive and highly motivated to meet customer requirements. Additionally, you should have proven track record in leading teams and ability to work in a fast-paced environment often working on multiple projects/proposals at any one time.
