Forensic Investigator Job Description

A Forensic Investigator is responsible for conducting digital forensic investigations across various environments. This involves using specialized tools to collect, preserve, and analyze evidence related to cybersecurity incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting digital forensic investigations in diverse environments
  • Using Velociraptor and other forensic tools to gather, secure, and examine evidence

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Velociraptor plus at least two additional tools. Strong knowledge of Windows internals, registry analysis, and common attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) is required. The candidate should also possess scripting ability (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate evidence extraction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Digital forensics and incident response expertise
  • Hands-on experience with Velociraptor and at least two additional tools
  • Strong understanding of Windows internals and registry analysis
  • Knowledge of common attacker TTPs
  • Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
