Job Position

The Data Service Business Intelligence Analyst II plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of legal bill analysis within the Legal Bill Analysis Center of Excellence. This involves auditing electronically submitted invoices and expenses for compliance with established guidelines.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance and feedback to business units on bill review scenarios, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
  • Analyze legal context and terminology in invoices and data files, extracting core concepts that underpin the invoice.
  • Communicate analysis and recommendations to internal partners, driving informed decision-making.

Data Service Accountabilities:
  • Perform thorough invoice review analysis for the Data Service initiative within the Legal Bill Analysis Center of Excellence.
  • Drive expert assessment of legal context and terminology in invoices and data files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze and deconstruct client billing guidelines and legal services agreements into code-based formats, facilitating efficient operations.
  • Validate and certify the accuracy of Data Service AI-generated file outputs.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and claims situations, enabling effective analysis and decision-making.
  • Analytical skills to condense complex legal service agreements into actionable operational outputs.
  • Excellent computer skills, with the ability to learn electronic legal bill submission and auditing software.
  • Familiarity with federal and/or state rules of civil procedure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Candidates Requirements:
  • Graduate Degree, JD, or 3-6 years industry experience or 1-2 years Data Service experience.
  • Experience with legal billing processes is an advantage but not necessary.
