Electrical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with high-speed machineries, electrical systems, and utilities such as chillers, boilers, and air compressors. Proficiency in troubleshooting AC/DC circuits, motor drive controls, and automation systems is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair of Electrical Systems and Equipment:
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various machinery and equipment.
    • Diagnostics and repair of electrical issues in motors, drives, control panels, sensors, and wiring systems.
  • Electrical System Management:
    • Inspect and maintain plant electrical systems to ensure continuous power supply to machinery, utilities, and facilities.
    • Troubleshoot electrical faults in control systems, power distribution panels, and automation systems.
  • Automation and Control:
    • Install and maintain automation systems, including PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
    • Ensure synchronization of electrical systems with mechanical operations for efficient production.
  • Installation and Commissioning:
    • Assist in the installation and electrical setup of new machines and equipment.
    • Commission equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to and enforce electrical safety protocols as per OSHA and local regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits on electrical installations and repairs.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain logs for all electrical repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
    • Update equipment manuals and wiring diagrams in case of any modification.
  • Coordination and Support:
    • Collaborate with production supervisors, mechanical technicians, and quality control teams.
    • Provide on-site technical support during equipment malfunctions to reduce downtime.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field of study.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, blueprints, and basic mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on rotating shifts, including weekends or nights as needed.
  • OSHA 10/30 or local safety certification.
