Responsibilities
  • Design and develop firmware for embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages
  • Develop and maintain software tools and utilities to support firmware development and testing
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware and hardware components
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware solutions to ensure reliability and performance
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other stakeholders as needed
Requirements
  • BSEE, BSCS, or BSCE degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of C/C++ programming languages and related development tools
  • Experience with Yocto, Linux gcc build and debug tools
  • Knowledge of x86 and ARM-based server and data center infrastructure architecture
  • Familiarity with industry-standard initiatives and standards such as Open BMC, Redfish, SNMP, and open-source software
Preferred Skills
  • Expertise with software programming languages, frameworks, and subsystems including but not limited to: C++, C, C#, JavaScript, Python, Go, Perl, Shell
  • Infrastructure and application development experience using technologies and architectures such as IP networking, serial communications, protocols, and platforms
  • Familiarity with software development environments and tools such as integrated platforms, source code version control, and wireShark
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 based on location and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
