Job Title: Embedded Systems Software Engineer

Description:

This position involves the development of software for embedded systems, particularly in medical devices. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in developing safety-critical software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage the development of large medical engineering projects or multiple small projects with complex features.
  • Define software requirements from high-level product requirements and track them to closure.
  • Respond to RFxs.
  • Define software architectures.
  • Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed software solutions.
  • Identify training needs.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates should have a Bachelor's/Masters Degree (Biomedical /Electronics/Computer Science) from an accredited college or university.

They should also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.

A good understanding of quality system regulation (21 CFR 820) and quality management system (ISO 13485:2016) is also required.

Candidates with knowledge of EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and regulatory documents (510(k), PMA, Technical File) will be given preference.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
