Structural Engineer Job Description

As a structural engineer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a team of designers on the detailing of steel beams, columns, and other structures. This includes detailing various connections used for structural joints, such as welded, bolted, riveted, moment connection, shear connection, and splice details.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Detailing of bracing and trusses
  • Determining and verifying the height of columns based on L/r ratio
  • Assessing loading on primary members and transferring loads to secondary members
  • Predicting structure behavior
  • Providing loading information

You will collaborate closely with the design team to ensure that all structural elements are properly detailed and meet the required specifications. Your expertise in structural engineering will be essential in ensuring the safety and integrity of the structures we build.
